A 2017 – es év tavaszának közeledtével, a Boras gyár is megjelentette kézzel rajzolt, tavaszi virágos rétek hangulatát idéző tapétakollekcióját. A sorozat darabjai színesek, világos, vidám színeket vonultatnak fel, a cél pedig a városban élők (és persze a vidéki életformát folytatók) körében is népszerűsíteni a romantikus, otthonos, vidéki élet hangulatos stílusát.

A „Beautiful Tradition” katalógus mintáit egyedi, kézzel készített mesterművek alkotják, melyeket tradicionális svéd motívumok inspiráltak. A színskála elsősorban természetes színeket alkalmaz, a formavilág pedig változatos, találhatóak csíkokkal, apró, részletezett motívumokkal valamint nagyobb, monumentálisabb dekorációs elemekkel díszített tapéták is.

„Engem általában minden inspirál, aminek karaktere, története van.” – mondja Sissa Sundling a Boras tervezője – „Ezt a „történelmi” érzést szerettem volna megörökíteni a kollekcióban. Az összes minta kézzel rajzolt, az inspirációkat pedig a családom kezén lévő, 17. században épült, Skane-beli ház bútorainak, dísztárgyainak mintázataiból merítettem.”

A katalógus elsősorban azoknak szól, akik az otthonos, romantikus, vidékies stílus szerint szeretnék berendezni otthonukat. A tapéták fantázianeveiket olyan svéd női személyek után kapták, akik mind fontos szerepet játszottak a svéd divat történelmében, mint például az extravagáns stílusú primadonna és revüsztár Zarah Leander, vagy akár a fiatal tehetség és divatdiktátor Alicia Vikander.

A tervező, Sissa Sundling reméli, hogy katalógusa mind a 35 mintája segít majd valóra váltani a leendő lakberendezők álmait azzal, hogy könnyed, modern stílusban idézik a múltat.

Borastapeter introduces Beautiful Traditions – a dream collection for rural romantics

Just in time for spring, Borastapeter is launching a decorative collection of hand drawn wallpapers with both light and colourful elements set to inspire people living in both cities and the countryside to decorate with a homely, countryside atmosphere.
Beautiful Traditions is a romantic wallpaper collection of newly designed, hand drawn patterns inspired by old, Swedish countryside traditions. The prints come in natural colours and include pigeon blue petit patterns, stripes, gold shimmering ornaments and magnificent flower patterns.

“I am inspired by everything with character and history”, says Sissa Sundling, designer at Boråstapeter. “That feeling is something I wanted to pass on in this collection. All of the patterns are hand drawn and inspired by the atmosphere in my family’s 17th century house in Skåne and things I have come across at garage sales”.

Beautiful Traditions is a collection for everyone who wants to capture the homely, countryside feeling; whether living in a big city or out in the countryside. Also, all of the prints in the collection are named after Swedish female personalities who have made their mark in history. Revue star and prima donna Zarah Leander is the inspiration behind the elegant and extravagant medallion wallpaper Zarah in its gentle tones with touches of gold. The floral patterned wallpaper Alicia with its beautiful, rich colours are named after our latest rising star on the silver screen; Alicia Vikander.
“Decorating is so much about fulfilling Dreams”, concludes Sissa Sundling. “My hope is that Beautiful Traditions will help create dream homes with rooms that feel new and fresh at the same time as they are linked to the past”.
Beautiful Traditions is available in stores from April 20 and features a total of 35 prints.
